No, it is not mandatory. However, it is recommended to register an account on myZyxelCloud for better supports and services.
With a registered account, the configurations are saved in both your mobile device and myZyxelCloud. You can manage Multy X units from any of your mobile devices with the same account.
Without an account, the configurations are only saved in one specific mobile device which is used to set up Multy X. You can only manage Multy X units with one specific mobile device in this case.
