No VOIP tab on my VMG8924-B10A

    Hi had a single wireless channel modem , as l want 2.4 & 5 hz bought a ebay special ( john lewis ) and no VOIP , so copied my settings from my supplied modem and reloaded on to new modem and VOIP works , tab does not show but voip phone works :-)

  • The Zyxel VMG8924-B10A John Lewis Modem has taken away the VOIP settings menu.  However you can go to the maintenance menu, and download the current configuration.  Then edit the configuration file manually, then load it back.  The tricky part is the SIP registration password, which is encoded.  What I did was enter the SIP registration password as the admin password for the modem, then save the configuration file.  Then copy the encoded admin password as the SIP registration password.

    Look for the <SIP> settings in the configuration file, and a few other settings

    For SIP password and account, it is also good for asking ISP's help. If your service provided from them, they should have the account answer for you :)
