    I have the same problem. But what do you mean by chaning sync to async? How do I do that? Noob question, sorry.

    You'll have to edit the /etc/exports file (man exports) which defines the NFS shares on the NAS, and change 'sync' to 'async'.

    *cough* I dont think I'm on the same level as you there. How do I edit or find that file. I'm on Windows.

    Enable the ssh server, and use WinSCP.

    I have the same issue, and I'm getting disappointed with that NAS drive from Zyxel. It seam the software support is very poor.
    I'm not a powerful user, and I could't do anything with WinSCP, even I could't login into drive. "Mijzelf" could you give more detail explanation how to fix the problem?
    Other problem that I have is CPU use of 100%.
