Manual update NSA310 Squeezebox /Logitech media Server?

Hi I am new to this forum and I have a question: I have a NSA310 NAS with latest firmware. I am running the included Logitech Media Server. I noticed this is version 7.71. The Spotty plugin (to play spotify over Squeezebox ) gives SSL errors upon opening. It complains about missing IO::Socket::SSL software and I suspect the problem to be the older 7.71 Logitech Software. Does anyone know if there a way to manually update the Logitech package to the latest available version? Or install the IO::Socket::SSL so Spotty will run? Thanks!
