A modem provides the connection from your ISP’s broadband service and Multy U (WSR30) has to connect to a modem via an Ethernet cable to gain the access to the Internet. Multy U (WSR30) is an example of a wireless router. Once a modem brings in information from the Internet, a router distributes this data to your personal devices.
