My Nas 520 Stopped working. Now that im troubbleshooting it i find that it has no ip nor am i able to select origin country. it just reverts back. Could it be that them button bateries need changing or something. When i place my hdds in a usb tray, windows is unable to find them. I have over 5 Tbits of storage i hope isnt lost. How come windows doesnt see the files either.
How come im still able to see my netmask, and is the network card broken?

I advice you to try a factory reset. That will wipe all user settings and set them back to default, but it won't touch your data.Could it be that them button bateries need changing or something. There is one battery inside, but AFAIK it's only used to retain the time. When i place my hdds in a usb tray, windows is unable to find themWindows should certainly be able to find them, but cannot read them. So you won't get an extra drive in explorer. That's be cause Windows can't handle the raid container, nor the filesystem (ext4)A Linux box would have no problems.

Thanks a lot. Ill try this now. But arent the batteries like on motherboards to keep internal memory settings alive. Like time and other settings.0
