NAS 542 strange issue

From time to time my Nas blinking with a status indicator in when it happens I cannot connect to the has, I don't know what it means, I tried to nothing to do, after 24 hour nothing changed, I just manually switched off NASand after that switched on, and now it works. I would like to know what happened and what behavior NAS expects from me?

It does not look like upgrading software, because process too long, I waited more than 24 hours, upgrade time, I think, should complete maximum 1 hour, but usually it about 10 minutes.
