Hello,
I am trying to connect 2 pc's through ethernet on the 520,
both ports work fine on the 520(gigabit speed-orange led) but as soon as I connect the second port I do not have access to my files?
P.s I find it hard to believe that the 2 ethernet inputs are only for aggregated link..?
When connected to a 4 port 10/100 switch that I had laying around both pc worked fine but really slow.

Lan1:IP->192.168.10.1Netmask->255.255.255.0Pc1:IP->192.168.10.2Netmask->255.255.255.0Lan2:IP->192.168.11.1Netmask->255.255.255.0Pc2:IP->192.168.11.2Netmask->255.255.255.0Gateway and dns are all empty. If your wifi happens to have one of these subnets (192.168.10.x or 192.168.11.x) use 192.168.12.x instead. Doesn't matter where.

You have to set interface for each ethernet port, they'll become a LAG if you assign the same configuration to them.1

What is your IP address for both interface on NAS and what is the IP address of your PC?0

Do you mean that you are not using a switch when connecting through gigabit? That can be done, but both PC's should be in a different subnet, and so should be the ports on the NAS. Else the NAS won't know which port to use to reach a certain PC.

Most probably that is the problem then, could anyone post "reccomended settings" for lan1/lan2 (on the zyxel) and for the 2 Ethernet adaptors of the PC's?
For example->
Lan 1
Ip address->?
Subnet mask->?
Gateway mask->?
Primary Dns->?
And what should I input on the Ethernet card on the PC
Ip address->?
Subnet mask->?
Gateway mask->?
Dns->?
P.s The 2 computers get internet through WiFi so Ethernet won't interfere with other settings.
Thank everyone for helping!0
