Multy X issue - cannot connect with the app

I have not been able to connect Multy X using the iOS app for a while. I then reset today the Multy X to re-do the installation procedure, and I am able to complete it, and it will set up default wifi, but after completing the installation the app shows not connected status and I am unable to change any configuration. 

As part of the process, the app notifies about a security certificate update, which seems to complete successfully. My iOS is connected to the new wifi SSID, but the app refuses to reconnect with the Multy x. I've also tried to connect via router's wifi.

I've run this process multiple times, and I am unable to get it working. Please advice.
