There are 2 places where you can modify the tag, one is click the pencil icon and the other is in the access point list page.

Sorry, my bad.
You can use Load balancing tag to put many APs in the same group, for instance there are four APs, AP1 and AP2 with same tag, AP3 and AP4 (with same tag) then one of AP exceed the maximum client number and other client can only connect to the AP which has the same tag name.

it will only kick in once the load balancing limit set in the AP & port settings has been reached.
for example, if I set the limit to 100 devices, the load balancing tag will only work if one of the APs reaches 100 devices

Correct, since there are 2 mode and for more detail information please refer to our user guide page 247.
