external harddrive

Hello dear forists,
I've got a question. I have a Zyxel NAS 542. I would like to attach external disks to the USB ports to create data backups. What size limit is there for the USB disks?

  I don't think there is a sizelimit for the disk, but I think I have read somewhere that NTFS filesystems are limited to 2TB.

  I was used 4TB to be a external drive, so 4TB should be okay.

  The maximum size of external disk is 8TB.
