I have a USG1100 running V4.38(AAPK.0)ITS-WK26-r94697.  It is set up as a DHCP server for all lans and vlans.

At some point in the last 24-48 hours the USG1100 DHCP server stopped offering IP addresses.

This has happened in the past but was reported as fixed in an earlier firmware version. It appears it was not fixed.

I can "restart" the serving of all IP addresses by editing and saving any of the USG1100 DHCP settings for any lan or vlan.  For example today I reduced the pool size by 1 for DHCP on vlan 2 and devices on all lans and vlans started to get IP addresses.

I have captured a diagnostic file.  Please let me know who to send it to.

Can you update to the newest firmware and see if it happens on that.

I was planning on updating the firmware in two weeks.  However I do not see anything about the issue in the release notes.

In the past the issue only happened once every 3-4 months.  This time it had not happened in at least 6 months.

    Hi @imaohw

Could you provide your diagnostic file and startup-config file to me via private message?

    Thanks.

@imaohw   Have you ever try to release and renew your client device IP address when this symptom occurred?

@kukuman - yes I have.  No IP address is provided by the USG1100 DHCP server when renew is attempted.

New devices do not get IP addresses either.

It is as if the DHCP server has stopped running.

    Yeah.

This has happened with my device USG110 a few months before.
Only after rebooting the device could help me to start the DHCP server back to normal and provide IP address to the requesting clients.

    Hi @chandan

Recommend you upgrade to the latest firmware V4.62 https://portal.myzyxel.com/my/firmwares and to see if this symptom appears again.

@Zyxel_Jeff - this issue just occurred again.  It seems that the DHCP server stopping is somehow related to a WAN connection dropping and coming back up.

I have downloaded a diagnostic file from the USG1100.

Please let me know who to send the diagnostic file to and if there is any other information I can gather to help diagnose the issue.
