I have changed the admin password of a NAS540. Now I can not enter through the web but if it allows access by SSH and SMB. How can I recover web access?

Can you confirm that if I reset it I won't lose all the information?

You misunderstood me. I think your firmware is already upgraded, and that your password contains one of the now forbidden characters. Then you can't login in the webinterface anymore.

And yes, if you reset until the first beep, it only resets the admin password and sets the network to DHCP client.

Hello, It has happened to me the same, not being able to log in via Web but been able via ssh.

I logged in with a different user, logged out, and then I was able to logged in with the admin account again.

Have you ever try to reset the NAS?
After reset, does it should work?
