NWA50AX remote shutdown and power on

Hi all,

I recently installed a NWA50AX Access point and would like to turn it off at night and wake up in the morning. Is there a way to remotely shutdown it and use wake on lan to start it? I tried the simple way using ssh but it looks like it's not working.

Hi Sir,

Currently we can't directly schedule the AP to reboot itself neither through SSH or NCC configuration.

If you want to stop Wi-Fi services, there're two approaches for your reference:

1. Set the "SSID Schedule", so that AP can broadcast the SSID only on the scheduled time.

2. If the AP is powered by a PoE Swtich, there's also a function called "PoE schedule" you can use, so that the Switch will provide electricity to devices on the scheduled period.

Hi,

Thanks mate. I thought about the Poe but my mini zyxel switch is not manageable

They should add a wake on lan function in the AP.

And by the way, they say in the doc that you have to use the "poweroff" function of the AP if you want to shut it down (which is probably to avoid potential problems with users)

For now, I scheduled the wifi broadcast and will see later for another solution
