    @Zyxel_Jay

    thank for your reply.
I’ve already checked both of the suggestions. But non of them work.

even devices which are not connected during the dcs are affected.
it seems, that the repeater loses the password.

only a forced reconfiguration temporarily solves the problem.

    Hi @PEACEkeeper

    Let's first clarify your question,

There is a Smart Mesh Repeater AP when DCS Schedule is running, and the following devices cannot be authenticated normally. At this time, you have also used a station without connection and connected AP SSID . And authentication cannot be performed normally.

We initially thought that the repeater AP and the root AP lost the connection at that time.

Here are a few things we want to confirm with you

    1. When the problem occurred

    2. MAC of commonly used devices.

We consider that there may be an issue of AP system failure or settings misconfiguration that causes the problem you mentioned.

If your AP could boot up normally and connect with Nebula.

Could you kindly help us to turn on your Zyxel Support Access from the below path in your nebula for us to confirm the issue?

PATH: Help (Left sidebar corner) >> Zyxel Support Access

Then please tell us your org&site name, AP mac address (By PM me is fine), and we'll check the problem as soon as possible.

    Good morning @Zyxel_Jay,

There is a Smart Mesh Repeater AP when DCS Schedule is running, and the following devices cannot be authenticated normally
    Yes

At this time, you have also used a station without connection and connected AP SSID . And authentication cannot be performed normally
No, if a device isn't connected to any SSID on any AP in the network, the authentication can be performed normally.

But, if a device is connected to a SSID on one of the wired APs and DCS Schedule is running, the authentication can be performed normally against any wired AP, but cannot be performed normally against the Smart Mesh Repeater AP.

    I've already tried:
    1. Use the default DCS configuration with "DCS client aware" and "Avoid 5G DFS channel"
    2. Use a DCS configuration with "DCS client aware" but without "Avoid 5G DFS channel"
    3. Use a DCS configuration without "DCS client aware" and without "Avoid 5G DFS channel"

    The affected MAC address list:
    • CA:40:6E:54:2F:80
    • 36:D9:ED:7F:3E:81
    • A6:0E:12:87:40:42
Could you kindly help us to turn on your Zyxel Support Access from the below path in your nebula for us to confirm the issue?
I've enabled the "Invite Zyxel support as administrator" again.

Then please tell us your org&site name, AP mac address

I'll send a PM to you.

    Thanks
    Frank

    Hi Frank

We have seen your event log on your site. But we don’t see anything about your problem, just saw the station in low signal to associate Repeater AP. To speed up our inspection, can you share when it happened(Was it after DCS schedule time at 3:00 AM?) and how long affected your device? And what date do you take the test?

BTW you can close smart steering, because we saw your device connected AP in very low signal (-95dBm), so it may lead to your frame dropped then causing the wrong password symptom.

The problem appears every morning, so I think it depends on the DCS schedule.
and how long affected your device?

Until I apply any change to the AP configuration. Restarting the AP will not solve the problem.

And what date do you take the test?

The last time the Problem appears was today.

After "inviting the support", the configuration of all APs run out of date. After the Smart Mesh Repeater AP has updated his configuration, the problem was gone again.

Ok, I'll try this later, when less devices are online.

    Hi @Zyxel_Jay

today was the first day without a connection issue in the morning.
Maybe disabling the smart steering did the trick.

I'll monitor the problem due the next few days and give feedback.

    Best wishes
    Frank

    Hi @Zyxel_Jay

sadly to say that the problem (re)appears this night at 1:21 CEST
The affected device was my iPhone (36:D9:ED:7F:3E:81).

I don't think that there was a problem with the DCS schedule, because the DCS schedule time is 3:00.

Please, can you check the logs again?

    Thanks
    Frank
