540 USB Port

Don't know. AFAIK there are no (practical) size limits for exFAT on the NAS, but I have never tried to mount a >2TiB exFAT filesystem.0

I just found a 3TB NTFS external USB drive - it failed to mount. I plan to retrieve some 3TB SATAs from the safe deposit box next week and check them. They failed to mount with the old connector and I expect they will with the new one as well, so I'm thinking the problem is in the NAS firmware (it'sV5.21(AATB.9) which is apparently the most current). Can always pray for an update, I suppose. There's really not much use in including a USB port for backing up a 6TB RAID10 if it won't accept decent size external drives...I'll try converting to exFAT and see what happens.

HA! 3TB external USB mounts and reads fine with exFAT! Let's see how full I can load it up. That will of course takes hours, but at least I don't need to kludge a transfer via network share. Thanks for the help.0

Final word: Repartitioned the Seagate to a single exFAT and all is good.0
