LTE7460 SIM error when very cold outside

I've had LTE7460 on my roof for nearly 4 years now. On three separate occasions this last winter the device started complaining about missing SIM card when the temperature dropped below -15 centigrade. Rebooting the device didn't help. The only solution was to wait for the temperature to rise a bit (about -10) and then reboot.
What can cause this issue? What can I do to prepare for the next winter, other than hope that the temperatures stay relatively warm? 😉

The problem might be the Sim card itself.
You can try to ask ISP for another SIM card and test.0 -
