Hello,
I managed to upgrade an LTE7490-M904 from firmware version 1.00(ABZK.0)C0 to 1.00(ABQY.6)C0. All worked fine (web UI, connections, everything) until I had to hard reset the configuration. Now the router is visible on the net (bot LAN and WiFi), but any admin password I try is not valid. Tried with the one printed on the label, with "1234", "12345678", "admin" and empty - nope. How can I get my router back?

Thanks!

S.

Try a power off of your 7490 for about 2 minutes.....

Thanks, but no way. I have access to the UART console, all is fine except admin password…

If you did your hard reset in web GUI try if possible to do it instead on your unit!

Nope. Router WEB interface on WiFi is on 192.168.1.1, on LAN it's on 192.168.2.1 - but admin password is not valid on either interface (including UART console)

Made hardware reset, but the admin pwd on the label is not accepted as valid, nor is any of the "known to be good" ones…

Is it possible to do a hard reset again on your unit? Press @ least 15 secs with a pin in the hole.....

Yeah, tried several times, no change.

My guess: older firmware used a hard-coded password, new firmware uses an algorithmically generated password (i.e., based on modem serial number, like in VMG8825).

Is there a possibility for someone to generate such a password, given the relevant data (modem S/N, MAC addres or whatever)?
