Low local connection speed, and the last 2 days everything is very bad. It is not possible to use wifi. The speed through the cable is very high. Help solve this problem. The problems started after installing the update.

    Hi @itcrt ,

The SSID tag function allows users to activate or deactivate the SSID on individual Wi-Fi access points. For detailed configuration instructions, please refer to the following FAQ:

    Hi @Jamiewyc ,

Once the DCS is activated, the AP will automatically scan and select the optimal channel in an environment with minimal interference. This eliminates the need for manual channel configuration to mitigate co-channel interference.

Regarding the MAC address displayed on the channel analyzer, it presents the BSSID, whereas Nebula accurately reflects the hardware's MAC address. For instance, in case there is no LAN port on AP, if the hardware MAC address is AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA, then the BSSID for the first SSID on radio 1 (2.4GHz) will be AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AB, and for the first SSID on radio 2 (5GHz), it will be AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AC. This is based on the rule that the BSSID for the first SSID of radio 1 is the hardware MAC address incremented by 1 in the hexadecimal system, and for radio 2, it's incremented by 2.

There is some rules apply to other BSSIDs of the AP, However, for a detailed view of the BSSID for each AP, we recommend using the following CLI commands is easy to users:

To check the BSSID of radio1: show wlan slot 1 detail

To check the BSSID of radio2: show wlan slot2 detail

    Hi @Jamiewyc ,

We continue to recommend the DCS function for its functionality and convenience. However, if you wish to disable specific bands on individual APs, please refer to the CLI provided below.

    Router> enable

    Router# configure terminal

    Router(config)# wlan-radio-profile RADIO_SETTING_TYPE_2

    Router(config-wlan-radio RADIO_SETTING_TYPE_2)# no activate

Please note that to identify the radio profile name, you should refer to the configuration, which can potentially be accessed via the CLI using the command "show running-config”. Btw, the configuration will be overwritten if the AP re-receive the configuration from Nebula due to changing anything else related to radio setting.

Additionally, can we raise a feature request to show these MAC addresses in Nebula?

Also having the same issue… turning down 2.4 hasn't made any different whatsoever…

    Hi there,

High channel utilization often indicates significant interference within your network environment. To potentially resolve this issue, you may adjust specific settings related to the radio channel width and DCS same to the image below.

After making these changes, monitor the channel utilization metrics to see if there is an improvement in network performance.

    Hi,

We have the same settings as you apart from only three channel deployment. Changing to four channel or all channels available does indeed reduce channel utilization slightly but we then end up with incredibly unstable wifi that's close to unusable. Is there anything else you can recommend please?

I also tested those Wi-Fi settings that were not suitable

it did not help us, we already had such settings, at 20 MHz, the Internet and Wi-Fi fail

    Hi there,

Please refer to the FAQ to optimize wireless performance. If issues persist after following all configurations, please provide the org/site name, AP MAC address, client MAC address, SSID, and connection time. You can drop the info via the private message by clicking my account > Message.

    Hi Judy,

Thank you for this, though whilst helpful, in itself proves there's some issues that need to be addressed here:

You mention about using a channel analyser in order to find interference, but Nebula does not show the same/correct MAC address - they appear differently in each of the analysers I've tried. How am I able to find co-channel interference if Nebula is not reporting the same MAC address as the channel analyser?

Additionally, I do not understand why turning off 2.4ghz and 5ghz transmission on individual AP's is not possible - If we're trying to reduce co-channel interference and we can't stop an AP from broadcasting, there's nothing we can do. Support mentioned splitting the SSID into two separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz SSID but this is not possible due to the following:

Nebula only allows for 8 SSIDs. I currently have 4 and splitting them would effectively stop me from creating any temporary SSID's that we use (For example, Summer school).
Nebula only allows the creation of 1 SSID with guest vouchers enabled - meaning I wouldn't even be able to split the guest wifi to 2.4 and 5ghz SSIDs.

I also don't understand why I can't turn off the SSID at separate Wi-Fi access points. Jamiewyc, useful things to say.
