Multy M1 wired Mesh extension possible?
Freshman Member
I found a bargain on this product, but before going to buy I wanted to know if it is possible to connect these Mesh devices also by LAN cable so that the extension signal will be better?

Hi @Cr4z33
Yes, you can definitely connect the Multy M1 satellite using a LAN cable, and this can indeed result in a more stable connection without affecting your speed throughput significantly. When you connect a satellite via LAN cable, it can provide a more reliable and robust connection compared to a wireless connection.

It means that unnecessarily (hidden) wifi networks are kept active. This results in possible additional interference in the EM-spectrum and also unnecessary use of power (equals costs) by the M1 router and satellites.
Although I don't really know and can't really proof, the performance of the mesh network may be negatively influenced. This could be loss of bandwidth, slower reaction times, less stable network.

What is the downside of not being able to disable the Wi-Fi backhaul?
Sorry, but I don't get it? 🤔
