Firmware Update VMG3006-D70A Problem
Hello.
I have a VMG3006-D70A. The firmware 15.39.9.1.s3b334100 (ID: VMG3006-D70A-DE02V1F, date: Thu, Jul 22, 2021 11:05:30 +0200) is currently installed there. Unfortunately, I can't manage to update the firmware because I keep being told: "Please enter a valid firmware file."
I can find the firmware on the homepage, but then I get the error above.Can anyone help me?

Here the latest firmware , unzip and look the documentation :

I loaded the firmware from the Zyxel homepage and also unpacked the ZIP archive (https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/4403361365778-Zyxel-CPE-Devices-Firmware-Advanced-Downloads-Firmwares- and-other-resources). There are two files included. A PDF and an IMG. Unfortunately that doesn't work either.

Sometimes its a Problem of the browser used , you could try another may be an older firefox .
I notice that 17.x firmware is the telekom version , you have a 15.x ?
you can try to enforce the update at your own risk via ftp :

I'll test it with the browser tomorrow. A good idea. I currently have the 15.X. (See first post)

Yes, I took the IMG file from the ZIP from the zyxel website.1 -
It's not the browser's fault.
Tested with: Chrome, Firefox, Waterfox, Edge.1 -

Mmm…It might be worth you trying the firmware version 17.39.17.1 at https://www.telekom.de/hilfe/geraete-zubehoer/router/zyxel/vmg3006-d70a?samChecked=true especially if they are your ISP.

I found a hint how to get into the developer mode an can activate things like ssh :
webng.cgi?sid=auto&controller=WebConfig&action=hiddenDevActivation

Worked. I am on the device via SSH and root rights.
Could I flash the original firmware onto the device from there? If yes how?0
