GS2200-8 has PWR, SYS and ALM lights glowing

Hi there,

I got a GS2200-8 switch and when I try to plug it in, it just lights up the PWR, SYS and ALM lights and that's it. Ports aren't working, console doesn't show anything, so I am curious if there is any way of fixing this.

Thanks for the update. This is more likely because your switch is malfunctioning on the hardware. Since the GS2200 has been end-of-life for many years, you can consider purchasing a new switch. GS2220 is the suggested migration product.

Hi @Zyxel_Melen ,

I cannot factory reset the switch because when I connect my USB to Serial and connect via Tera Term with: 9600 Baud, 8bit Data, Parity: None, Stop Bits: 1bit, it doesn't show anything in console, no output whatsoever. I have tried to plug it in multiple times while connected to the console and still no output. Tested the USB to Serial cable on a different switch, and it works, so I don't understand what else is there to do or should I just give up on the switch.

Could you help to check will the tera term print any logs if you change the baud rate from 9600 to 115200?

Hi @Zyxel_Melen,

even switching from 9600 Baud to 115200 does nothing, Tera Term doesn't print anything. I have also tried switching to every baud rate they have, and nothing worked either.
