    Hello @Zyxel_Melen

    Thanks for your response.

    1. APN is configured automatic, no manually used APN.
    2. Band is using Band Auto Selection, what do you recommend?

Seems to be also issue with other ZyXEL models, see topic:

    @Zyxel_Melen

I have changed the Cellular Band Settings from Auto to Manual, this seems to stablize the connection now for 20 hours.

    Hi @Webmagic,

Thanks for your update! I was checking with my team about the next step, but you already found it! Could you help monitor for a while? Thanks.

    Hello everyone,

I'm writing from Portugal, where I'm using a Zyxel FWA505 router with a Vodafone SIM. I’ve been experiencing similar issues with frequent internet connection drops. Currently, I’ve set my router to 4G only, sacrificing speed to try to gain some stability, but the interruptions persist.

Has anyone found a configuration that successfully stabilizes the connection? Alternatively, does Zyxel have plans to release a new firmware that might address this issue?

Thank you for any insights! 😊

@douro can you fix the channels for the 4g? This has help me to solve the issue with 4g.

    Hello @Webmagic,

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried keeping the setting on "NR5G-NSA/4G (Auto Switch)" and experimented with adjusting the channels, but I still experienced connection drops.

For now, I have the router set to "4G only", and “Band Auto Selection” enabled, which gives me a stable connection without interruptions, though at the cost of significantly reduced internet speed.

@Zyxel_Melen, Is there really no way to benefit from a 5G connection without these dropouts?

I have had exactly the same issue since I bought FWA505 in July, 5G gets drops and fixing channels does not help. I guess I have to return the AP and get a new one from another brand instead if this does not get fixed, no point using this one only with 4G.

    Hi @Douro & @Jii,

Are the bands you fixed the bands that your ISP supports? If not, the 5GHz might still have problems.
If the band was fixed correctly, please let me know.

    Hi @Zyxel M,

    Thank you for your response.

I researched the bands supported by my ISP (Vodafone Portugal) and cross-checked them with the bands automatically acquired by the FWA505. Afterward, I switched to manual mode and selected the following bands: B1, B3, B20, and n28.

I will now test this configuration and monitor whether the connection interruptions persist.

    Best regards,
    Douro
