So I have several folders with RAR files containing up to 100 files in one folder.

File browser won't let me download a whole folder, it also won't let me select multiple files at once and download them all.

Surely there must be a way somehow to get the entire folder to my PC without having to make 100+ individual downloads from the folder?

    Use Samba. "Windows filesharing".

Do you know of any good tutorials for this? The one I've found starts by saying I should open Terminal on my Linux machine. Is that even possible on the NAS?

Yes, that is possible, but way beyond the goal. Samba is already running on the NAS. Actually it's the main function of the NAS.

You only have to configure your client to access it. If you are on a Windows PC, all you have to do is typing

    \\<ip-of-nas>\

in the address bar of explorer. On Linux (and maybe also on a Mac) you can in most cases type

    smb://<ip-of-nas>/

in the address bar of the file browser.

Oh ok thanks for the clarification. That sounds way easier than what I imagined.

I tried typing exactly what you wrote in my Windows explorer window and it gave me "\\<ip-of-nas>\ is not acessible". (I'm paraphrasing because I have Windows in a different language)

I'm currently connected to the NAS through my browser so no issues there.

Do you know what the problem is?

No directly. You are aware you should exchange <ip-of-nas> by the actual ip address of the NAS?
