Wireless SSID with WPA2 security

any ideas why devices keep disconnecting from a wireless connection?
i have tried changing security from wpa3 to wpa2 and after a few hours the device disconnects. When I go to connect it tells me I’m using the wrong security for the device.

The connection is set up as local bridge.

I have a usg lite router and mwa220 and mwa130 access points in a mesh configuration.

I would appreciate some help

    Hi @Ohenriquez65

Based on your description, it seems the issue might be related to changing the SSID security option from WPA3 to WPA2. Even if the password remains the same, the change in security protocol can cause authentication to fail on your devices.

To resolve this issue, we recommend the following steps:

    1. Remove or forget the network from your devices.
    2. Reconnect to the SSID using the updated security settings.

This ensures the devices authenticate correctly with the updated protocol.

Yes I have done what you described, it the issue is after tue device is connected. In the morning after a few hours, the device is disconnected, and when I attempt to connect it it says I’m using the wrong security. Is like there’s a timer , which I don’t have. Is there an expiration on connections? Or is it possible that connections get reset for some reason?

    Hi @Ohenriquez65

Just to confirm, have you already forgotten the SSID network on all your devices and reconnected them, but the issue still persists?

Additionally, is your device being managed through Nebula Control Center (NCC)? If so, could you please enable Zyxel Support access and share your organization and site name with us? This will allow us to investigate further.

    Hi @Ohenriquez65

Upon reviewing your Nebula change log, we noticed that the SSID3 (BEST) security option has been changed 3 times, and it is currently set to WPA3. Are you referring to this SSID, or is it a different one?

Additionally, could you let us know which specific devices are having difficulty connecting to this SSID? If possible, please share their MAC addresses. Also, kindly ensure you have followed the previously mentioned steps on these devices.

I think I partly figured out the issue. the devices I have issues with are iphones 13 mac:

    F8:C3:CC:D8:1B:D5

when I roam out of the area, I have to manually connect again to the SSID BEST. The other SSID connections, don't require I connect manually…if I set the connection to connect automatically when I'm within the coverage area it connects auto. However, with SSID BEST, when I roam out of the area and come back it does not connect automatically.

    Let me know?

    Hi @Ohenriquez65

Since some time has passed since your issue occurred, it's challenging to pinpoint why your iPhone 13 had difficulty connecting to that SSID. To investigate further, we kindly ask you to collect the AP diagnostic information the next time you encounter roaming difficulties with your iPhone 13. Capturing the log as close as possible to when the issue occurs will help ensure the necessary details are not overwritten.

When the issue arises, please follow the steps in the link below to collect the diagnostic file and share it with us via private message:
