i see that the Hardware supports an esim can it somehow also be used with the actual firmware?

Hi AL,
As far as I learned, the NR7101's hardware does not support eSIM.

I have same issue. ZYXEL AIR shows me that I can activate eSIM by scanning QR using Iphone 12 or later, but when I do that by it and using hotspot I get a fail messege.
Did anyone succeed to install an eSIM in this device?

"The problem with eSIM is that the eSIM module is present in the hardware, but the usage of this feature is reserved for SP-customized appliances. It cannot be utilized on generic hardware, unfortunately.
"

what a pity! an esim would be very convenient instead of going to the roof to replace it...
Maybe with OpenWrt will work?
