Zyxel FWA510 fan making consistent noise

Hello,

It has been 10 days now since I received this router.

It was all good until last night when the router started making consistent noise.

I believe it is a fan who is consistently running. It needs to restart to stop that noise.

It is all quiet for a few hours after the restart and then there is a consistent hissing sound.

It is fairly audible during night time.

I am thinking of sending this device back to Amazon.

The temperature is normal in the room where the router is placed.

The firmware was upgraded to the latest version after receiving the router.

There is No stress testing going on and only 4 devices on the router with less than average traffic.

    I have the same problem. I bought it a couple of days ago. I came home from my trip. and I was setting up. after about an hour that was on. it started making this noise and it's quite annoying.

    Hello, I plan to buy a FWA510 to replace my acer predator connect x5 5g that is not booting up after a power out (need to press the button), but I don't want to replace it with a noisy modem. When I buy a new FWA510 will it come with a fan that is not creating noise or has the rootcause not been fixed?
