Hello,

the NAS542 stopped connecting to the network after latest firmwareupdate (V5.21(ABAG.15)C0. The update finished und the NAS startet a reboot.

After that it doesnt connect to network anymore.

After unplugging the disks the NAS booted and i could see it und i was able to connect by ssh and webgui.

Hotplugging of the disks, the hardware ist seen by the nas. but the raid doesnt come up.

Does anyone have an idea to fix this ?

I even tested with a downgrade of the firmware to V5.21(ABAG.7)C0 but the problem is the same.

Thanx for help.

I think there is something wrong with a disk. Have you looked at the SMART values?

The SMART values are OK. Test actually is only possible when i hotplug the disks into the nas.

Can you login over ssh, and post the output of

    su
    mdadm --examine /dev/sd[abcd]3
    mdadm --examine /dev/sd[abcd]2

This shows the headers of the raid arrays.
