FWA710 ungraceful handling of dynamic WAN IP lease

Hey, has anyone ran into this issue or experienced similar?

Every 6 hours on the dot, I get a WAN disconnect and reconnect. Whole thing takes about a minute. It occurs exactly 6 hours apart. 1:00, then 7:00, then 13:00 and finally 19:00. And obviously repeats.

I've been in touch with the ISP here in the UK via webchat and they've asked is there anyway to increase the lease time to a larger value (e.g. 24hrs)? I can't see anywhere to do that for the WAN. Is there an option for this?

Can Zyxel do anything so that they are more graceful in handling the dynamic lease so as to not drop the connection at all?

It's super frustrating.

Thanks. 😊

The lease time would be handled and set by the ISP for WAN IP the way it goes is FWA710 is the DHCP client it ask for IP then ISP DHCP server offer a IP and set lease for you to renew before time is up the DHCP client will try to renew by Unicast if no reply its by broadcast then if no reply the DHCP client will do a discover by broadcast.

Their is also the matter of what Bootp flags is used Unicast or broadcast for the reply offer or ACK but it should not matter.

It is unclear where the problem might be but I'm betting this is a ISP problem and from what I can tell the ISP DHCP server is not allowing you to renew.

If you do whats my IP when this happens does your WAN IP change? it might or might not.

I have a FWA510 with EE without problem well only this problem
