Issue with NR2301 Router Not Connecting to Signal After Crossing Borders

Hello,
I'm a seafarer and I'm experiencing unusual behavior with the NR2301 router. When we travel from one country to another, the router does not automatically connect to the mobile network. I have to remove the SIM card, insert it into my mobile phone to get a signal, and then reinsert it into the router. Only then does the router receive a signal. Restarting or turning the router off and on does not help.

Could you please advise if there’s a way to make the router reconnect automatically or if a setting needs to be adjusted?

Thank you.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I recently traveled by car from Denmark through Germany, the Netherlands, and into Belgium. The connection stopped working after leaving Germany. The SIM functions correctly when inserted into a phone, so the issue appears to be with the Zyxel device (NR2301). Does Zyxel actively monitor this forum for support-related queries?

    Hi,

I have encounter similiar case, and seems it's caused by APN issue.

Please check if your device is using auto APN when crossing the countries. If yes, please try to set the manual APN and see if connection work.

You need to get the manual APN info from ISP.
    thank you.
