Nebula FWA505 and a series of issues - connection and Smart Life App

I don't have time to wait that this gets fixed, already switched to an AP from an other brand.

Reading comments here and adding my personal experience, I'm starting to feel there is something fundamentally wrong with these routers. I have FWA505 and of course it disconnects. If I'm "lucky", only once a day. But today I have to restart it after every few hours. Usually the router doesn't understand that it has lost the connection to Cellular WAN, no red LED or "Down" info in admin panel. But it never reconnects itself.
I have had the router for 1,5 months now and the problem has been from the beginning, although I have the latest firmware ACKO.4
I'm tired of looking for solutions, as we can see, even Zyxel doesn't have them. Sending the router back to Amazon and adding corresponding comment there as well. Cannot recommend to anyone.

Hi,
some oberservations from my usage of the FWA 505 Router (latest firmware) after 2,5 Month usage:
Band selection:
as already mentioned in this thread, you have to manually do the band selection for the router - in my case the router automatically connected to 5G-n28 and 5G-n78 band (carrier aggregation). N28 has a very low bandwith in my case and caused a loaded download ping of > 1000 ms. So try unselecting some bands and check your LOADED ping times on sites like fast.com (maybe more a general 5G issue, than a router issue)
Connection lost till restart:
In my case the router lost only once in the 2,5 Month the connection (with current firmware) and didnt reconnect, so i had to restart the router hard
Connection issues / (Home-)Network issues
Today my connection is nearly perfect and everything is running smooth (RSSI (dBm) -69 / RSRP (dBm) -82 / RSRQ (dB) -12 / Unloaded Ping (fast.com): 16 ms / Loaded Ping (fast.com): 50 ms)
On other days i have the feeling, that the dns lookups are getting laggy or timed out at all from time to time (especially ipv4 lookups, where no ipv6 adress is available).
The worst in my case is, that for some reasons (maybe network related) the router looses sometimes the mobile connection and reconnects (to this point no issue!), but then my Notebook (connected via WIFI with Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz) gets a new second IPv6 address from the FWA 505 assigned and the connection seems to work not correctly (no connection or gets totally laggy) until i disconnect and reconnect to the routers WIFI (anyone got a solution for this strange issue).
Would be a good router, but due to the strange "bugs" in networking i'm thinking to change to a different model…

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem with the connection dropping out and needing a hard reboot.
Thankfully I only need this as my backup connection, so I've connected it to a smart plug so I can restart it whenever I get the offline notification from Nebula.
I didn't have this issue with my old 5G router (which sadly died), so it's definitely something funky with the FWA505.

I switched from the fwa 505 to a different brand. Several issues with connection loss, strange connection timeouts, connectivity issues after the connection lost.
Maybe i'll try again with the fwa505 if there are any new firmware updates, but currently the router is too unreliable to use it.

I'm going to be replacing my own FWA505 (with a different brand) as the drop outs continue.
I've found that it's unsuitable even as a backup connection, as my main connection dropped last night and my failover didn't work as the FWA505 had also dropped its WAN connection.

I add my experience with fwa505 and maybe someone could find it helpful and try to minimise disconnection like I did. I was having those problems since I purchased it in July, I tried to find solutions on the web but they were always useless, so I decided to try by myself to fix it. I disabled the cellular wan 2 profile in APN settings since I didn't need it and I manually set the cellular wan 1 APN setting checking my IP website. Usually the modem automatically select the right APN but the best thing is to verify that it is the correct one because my IP provides different APNs and they don't always work and they could cause disconnections. After these changes, the situation was a little better but sometimes there was a disconnection once every 1 to 2 days so I decided to investigate the issue further. I live in an area with a bad coverage so I turn the manual band selection on and I began to disable one by one every band. By trial and error I found out that a specific 4g-5g band was causing the disconnection problem so I let it disabled and since then, the issue is definitely solved and I don't experience any disconnection at all. The fwa505 is a great device and I was very close to return it because of these issues but I'm glad I didn't do it and that I solved the issue by myself
