hi,

I can’t seem to get an internet connection from my fwa701 on my fwa505.

The fwa701 is in bridge mode (dynamic) and when it is connected to my pc I can access the internet.

Thanks for helping

In addition, if your FWA710 and FWA505 using the default configuration and IP passthrough is disabled, you will need to change the IP subnet on one device to avoid IP conflict.

Well it looks like the fwa505 is doing nothing as the fwa710 is in router mode or you could get another SIM for the fwa505 for a failover setup.

switch and a access point is a good idea

    Hi @Ap_1

Do you mean your FWA710 is using IP passthrough mode?

What is your topology and which device can't get Internet connection? The FWA505 or the client under FWA505?

Please provide more details so we can help you better.

Is what you want a failover setup? where FWA710 is passthrough to the WAN of FWA505 and FWA505 is the router that uses FWA710 as the main internet?

    thanks for the help.

I got it working by setting the fwa710 in router mode then setting the fwa505 in ip passthrough mode and disabled the dhcp.

It’s working but i have little idea of what i’m doing. Hope I don’t get any conflits. The internet light on the fwa505 is fixed red and the signal strenght light is flashing blue… is that ok?

    Thanks

I'm not sure I understand what your trying to do?

Does fwa710 and fwa505 have their own SIM?

only the fwa710 has a sim.

The fwa505 was my only router but the signal I was getting wasn’t strong enough for streaming and too unstable, so I got the fwa710 and with the sim in it I get a very strong signal.

So should I get rid of the fwa505 and get a switch and a access point to get wifi inside and connect the tv box or will my system be stable as it is?

    Thanks
