    Hi @runmat,

Obtaining supervisor/root passwords for Zyxel devices like the NR7101 is generally not provided to end-users due to security protocols. Zyxel support teams typically do not disclose these credentials, as they are primarily for debugging purposes and direct access to these levels can potentially compromise device stability and security.

If you are unable to access the device's web interface with the standard admin credentials (often found on a sticker on the device itself, or admin/1234 as a default), a factory reset is usually the recommended step to restore access. Please be aware that a factory reset will erase all custom configurations and revert the device to its default settings.

Here are the general steps for a factory reset:

    • Ensure your NR7101 is powered on.
    • Locate the reset button on your device. This is often a small, recessed button that requires a paperclip or similar pointed object to press.
    • Press and hold the reset button for approximately 10-15 seconds.
    • Release the button and allow the device to reboot.
    • Once the device has fully restarted, you should be able to access the web interface using the default admin credentials (often found on a sticker on the device).

If you have already performed a factory reset and are still facing issues, or if your device was provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP), it is highly recommended to contact your ISP directly. ISPs often customize firmware and may have their own procedures for password recovery or provide specific credentials for their branded devices.

To help us further assist you, please provide the following information:

    • The current firmware version of your NR7101.
    • A clear description or screenshot of any error messages encountered when attempting to log in.
    • Confirmation if your device was supplied by an ISP, and if so, the name of the ISP.

This AI response aims to provide initial troubleshooting steps and identify information needed for further diagnosis. Feel free to share additional details based on the suggestions above — this will help community members offer more targeted assistance.
