USG 100H cant access youtube via roku
Freshman Member
I just switched from a USG FLEX 700 down to a USG 100 H. With the new devices, none of our Roku devices can access youtube. I have disabled all security services without any luck. There is nothing in the logs the shows any type of an error from these devices. As a last resort, I specifically added a rule to permit QUIC from LAN to WAN but that did not help either. Nope that this onyl blocked youtube from roku/TCL devices. Web and phone youtube access works as expected - any help would be appreciated

Hello @Zyxel_Judy
I anabled IGMP Proxy and tested further but I am still experiencing the same issue. YouTube access via a browser works as expected. I just cant access it from any Roku or TCL device. I have attached the startup-config for your review. I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi @minnimsoft ,
Based on our review, there does not appear to be any abnormal configuration on your USG FLEX 100H. We recommend rebooting or resetting your Roku devices and testing again to see if YouTube can be accessed.
If the issue persists, please share your Nebula organization and site name, and enable Zyxel Support Access, so we can review the event logs for any anomalies.

Yes, we have tried rebooting the devices several times to no avail.
The Organization is MINNIM. Software and the Site is Willock
I have enabled support access, per your instructions

Hi @minnimsoft ,
Thank you for providing the packet captures for our review.
After filtering the DNS queries transmitted by your device, we found that the device successfully sent a DNS query for YouTube and resolved the YouTube IP address as 216.239.38.119. However, no subsequent connection packets were sent to that IP address, which is why YouTube is unable to load successfully.
This behavior suggests that the issue may lie with the YouTube app or the client device itself. We recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app, then testing again to see if the issue persists.
