The hotfix has already been released and applied.
This issue was mainly related to changes in behavior/mechanism after the recent Nebula update, and the fix was implemented on the NCC side.
Could you please help confirm whether you are still experiencing these alerts?

After a thorough investigation, it appears that this “flapping” is very often caused by power‑saving features of the device connected to the port.
In fact, in several cases, simply disabling Ethernet power saving on a PC or the standby mode on a printer was enough to prevent these alerts from being generated.
This represents an issue because it is not related to any physical problem with the connection.
The detection mechanism for this alert should therefore be reviewed; otherwise, it's useless.

Hello everyone, recently I saw a drop in email notifications. So very good.
Anyway it seems to me that the power saving feature could trigger that alert, honestly I’m still looking to understand this better to collect a proof of that.

We'd like to clarify clearer of how the Port Advisor alert mechanism works: an alert is triggered when a port experiences 5 link up/down cycles within a 1-minute window — where one cycle counts as one link-up event followed by one link-down event. This means the port must undergo at least 10 link state changes within that timeframe.
This feature is specifically designed to detect abnormal connection instability, such as poor cable quality, loose connections, or a faulty port.
Regarding the power-saving behavior mentioned earlier — while we understand the concern, typical device power-saving modes would generally be unlikely to produce 5 full up/down cycles within a single minute. In addition, we attempted to reproduce the issue in our lab using a laptop, but were only able to observe 2 link up/down cycles, which is below the alert threshold.
However, we recognize that different device types may behave differently, which is why your environment is valuable for further investigation.
As we are currently seeing hits/alerts triggered from multiple ports at your site, it would be helpful if you could share what client devices are connected under switch SW_L11, along with their models. This will give us a clearer picture of the situation and help us explore whether there are ways to further improve the detection mechanism.
