What exactly did you do?

- Download the file web_prefix, and put it in the directory \\<NAS>\admin\zy-pkgs\ on the NAS. Make sure your browser doesn't add any extensions to the file. The filename is web_prefix, without extension, all lowercase characters.
- On the webinterface desktop, open the 'App Centre'. Goto 'Browse->All Apps'. Now there is a cycle icon on the page. Push it. install MetaRepository. Push the cycle icon again.
- rebooted the NAS and tried again to push the cycle icon again, but still nothing happened except the error
Thank you in advance for your quick reaction.

Can you please upload your Metarepository configuration? You can see it if you push on the Metarepository icon.
You should have the following repos active:
Mijzelf's mirror of Zyxel's repository
http://zyxel.ddnss.eu/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/fw5_stock_packages/NAS5xx/ Mirror
Mijzelf's repository
http://zyxel.ddnss.eu/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/fw5/ Mijzelf

I believe i'm a complete noob :-)
I've made the directory
\\<NAS>\admin\zy-pkgs\
and put the web_prefix file in it without extensions and then i went to the App section on my NAS540 to upload the apps, but not working.
I believe i forgot to do a step because where can i see the Metarepository icon?
Sorry mate :-)

Can you please try it again?
- Edit web_prefix
- Update list of all apps in the App Center
- Install Metarepositoy from the App Center
- Metarepository shall be available in the list of installed apps. You can click start there. You can also find Metarepository as an icon on the NAS desktop. You can also click on it there.

- i downloaded the web_prefix file
inside this file, it is:
http://zyxel.ddnss.eu/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/
2. i copy it to: \nas540\admin\zy-pkgs
3. When i go to app center on my NAS, and update the list; it still shows the error
Else if you wouldn't mind, i can give you access to my teamviewer?
You can send me an email if you want to: ropsyke@telenet.be
Thank you

It's not clear to me what goes wrong. Do you have ssh or telnet access? What is the output of
wget http://zyxel.ddnss.eu/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/NAS540/zypkg/5.21/ZYPKG_INFO.tgzwhen executed on the NAS?

Due to investigation the NAS can't extend the server name zyxel.ddnss.eu to the IP address. The route cause is possibly a certain router configuration. I recommend to test if the IP address of the server can be used in web_prefix instead of the server name.
