Hi @Maverick87,
Thank you very much for your patience, as well as for providing such detailed testing and troubleshooting information. We also appreciate you sharing this latest update in the community.
Regarding the underlying interface behavior, our engineering and R&D teams have verified this issue. A fix is planned to be incorporated into a future official firmware release (FCS).
Recommended Setup Steps to Prevent This Issue (Applicable to Initial Setup):
1.Before enabling PPPoE, do not enable VLAN beforehand (this configures the PPP interface without VLAN tags, ensuring it is properly created as the ppp0 interface).
2.Click Apply to enable PPPoE, and only then enable VLAN.
(Once properly bound to ppp0, the PPPoE over VLAN connection can be established successfully.)
If the Issue Has Already Occurred, Please Follow These Steps:
1.Disable VLAN.
2.Change the encapsulation mode from PPPoE to IPoE (to reset the PPP interface configuration).
3.Change the encapsulation mode from IPoE back to PPPoE (the PPP interface configured at this point will have no VLAN tags, allowing it to correctly use the ppp0 interface name).
4.Enable VLAN.
Thank you once again for your valuable feedback and your contribution to improving our product!
