LTE Module firmware for LTE5398-M904

Hello,

I have just upgraded my LTE5398-M904 to the last FW version V1.00(ABQV.4)C0. The updated was successful via the web UI.

At the same time, in the release notes I read "LTE Module FW version: EG18EAPAR01A12M4G" but my router has still version EG18EAPAR01A08M4G.

Does anybody know how to have the FW mentioned in the release notes?

I think Zyxel support team will prepare an official path for upgrading the module fw to the latest one.

I too would like EG18EAPAR01A12M4G. I tried contacting Quectel to get the version but their support are useless. Hopefully Zyxel will be able to provide it soon.

I've received the update from v.08 to v.12 directly from Zyxel support Europe on nov.12 2023

I haven't updated the LTE module so far because they didn't send me the DFOTA downgrade from v.12 to v.08

I'll wait to upgrade until I'll find the update on the official site.

please note that OpenWRT are developing the software using the v.13 of LTE firmware,
obtained directly from Quectel (I don't really know how)

Thanks a lot for the provided information, very useful. Indeed, version 13 was shared by a user on the OpenWrt thread: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/openwrt-support-for-zyxel-lte5398-m904/140157/52 .

When stable, the OpenWrt way would be very attractive.

I know but, if someone installs an update that isn't from ZyXel, the router will lose its warranty.

Have any of you requested the official version 13 from technical support?

I did it but I received an automatic email saying that e-mail address is not valid anymore in EU. Then I have not tried to contact the support in a different way.

I have asked again the tech support and I got the link to the FW (version 12) in a very prompt way.
