Hello everyone,

I installed a LITE60 with 2x NWA50AX PRO.

LITE60 is the root, both APs are via wifi mesh.

Suddenly one of them goes crazy:

Right now one AP is unreachable.

    Hi @GiuseppeR,

Please help to enable Zyxel support. I want to check the AP's event log first to investigate this issue.

By the way, are the APs connected to LITE60 with cable? or with wifi mesh?

    Hello @Zyxel_Melen

Zyxel support is invited with full priviledges, both the APs are linked wirelessly to LITE60 as root.

You have a ticket open with that Company, Case 240701015

Have a nice day, best regards.

    Hi @GiuseppeR,

After checking, the issue is more likely the signal strength of your AP being too low causing your AP not to connect to the mesh root (LITE 60) stably.

To fix this issue, please refer to the following FAQ:

    Hope it helps.

    Hello @Zyxel_Melen

    I'm trying the new config.

I see no reference to "channel deployment". Is it correct as seen in this photo?

I'm asking this because the default option for 2.4 is Three-Channel Deplyment, so I'm wondering if it has to be modified accordingly to your screenshots in your guide.

    Hi @GiuseppeR,

By default, the three-channel deployment on 2.4GHz is chosen, using channels 1, 6, and 11, which minimizes channel interference as these channels don't overlap significantly.

However, in some environments, channels 1, 6, and 11 may be congested due to other devices like Bluetooth and microwaves. If you experience connection issues, switching the channel deployment to "all available channels" can allow the AP to automatically select the best channel, improving connection quality.

    Hello @Zyxel_Melen

I tried some configs based on your guide, on another Company where I have 3 APs.

FYI if I limit the channels' width I see a third of the below rate:

Maybe more stable but less bandwith.

With the config of 20 MHz for 2.4 and 80 Mhz for 5 radioband the average lag is 10 ms from the far away wifi laptop to main cabled server.

Is it possible to adjust the channel width dinamically? I mean, an automatic choice made by each AP to choose what to use accordingly to the radio channel traffic used in a specific moment?

Using Site-wide > Configure > Access points > Radio settings forces each single AP to follow the scheme without optimizing dinamically the environment

    Hi @GiuseppeR,

To adjust the channel width dynamically, you can change the Adaptive Channel width option in Menu > Monitor > Access points > Wireless health. This function allows you to enable auto optimization to take actions by DCS or changing channel bandwidth to improve wireless network if poor state has been detected.

For more details, please reference this link.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi @Zyxel_Melen

unfortunately not, I have deployed unsupported models:

A part from that, it seems strange to me that APs do not work at least in different channels:

You can see 2.4 GHz both in channel 6 and 5 GHz in channel 48.

Using different channels would reduce interferences.

The installation is in the country, so good availability of radio channels.

As you can see I have APs that uses different radios in another mesh installation:

Is that channel choice limited by the hardware radios?

    Hi @GiuseppeR,

Can I say the question is wondering why the APs in the first site did not select different channels?

    Hi @Zyxel_Melen

yes, sometimes it seems strange to me understanding the logic behind the choices made by APs.

Different behavious in (apparently) similar conditions.
