    The DNS is really flaky, at the moment. I just tried to ping zyxel.diskstation.eu 3 times in a row:

    [user@localhost tmp]$ ping zyxel.diskstation.eu
    ping: zyxel.diskstation.eu: Name or service not known
    [user@localhost tmp]$ ping zyxel.diskstation.eu ping: zyxel.diskstation.eu: Name or service not known
    [user@localhost tmp]$ ping zyxel.diskstation.eu PING zyxel.diskstation.eu (158.101.164.98) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from 158.101.164.98 (158.101.164.98): icmp_seq=1 ttl=57 time=19.2 ms
    ^C64 bytes from 158.101.164.98: icmp_seq=2 ttl=57 time=17.3 ms

    As long as you can't ping it from your computer (or can't access http://zyxel.diskstation.eu) you NAS can't either. And as long as the NAS can't ping it, it cannot download the package list.

    If you consistently can access the site from your computer, and the NAS cannot ping it, check the default gateway and/or dns settings on the NAS.

    I can't edit the first post.

    The DNS server of zyxel.diskstation.eu has been flaky for months. There is another domain pointing to the same server, and I added another web_prefix file to reflect that.

    You can access MetaRepository at http://metarepo.tk/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/ for new installations.

    Amazing work, thank you Mijzelf.

    The DNS on diskstation had got past the point of being usable for me.

    Without you I'd have an expensive cost for new NAS'.

    I had to use:

    metarepo.tk/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/

    in my web_prefix file.

    For some reason with the http:// or https:// it wasn't pingable from the TCP\IP tool in the NAS.

    Conversely, the http prefix needed to be present in the metarepository repo URL for metarepository to function.

    Very minor painless tweaks, just mentioning it for reference in case it helps anyone else.

    Hi, does anybody know if these new repositories addresses work?

    First of all, thanks @Mijzelf for MetaRepository and all Tweaks.

    But just to be clear, how should 'web_prefix' look like and what URL should I add to MetaRepository's URL list to be as up to date as possible?

    Current 'web_prefix';

    http://zyxel.diskstation.eu/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/

    And line added to MetaRepository's URL list;

    http://metarepo.tk/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/

    Is this correct or should one/both be updated?

    Do you have MetaRepository already installed? In that case the web_prefix is handled by MR, and is http://localhost:9999/, or something like that.

    If you want to install MR, the web_prefix should be http://metarepo.tk/Users/Mijzelf/zypkg-repo/, and so should be the line in the URL list. But a quick test showed that the url gives an 403, while https works. I don't know if https will work for your box. Depends on the capabilities of the firmware curl.

    Ohh, sorry, forgot to mention that MR is already installed and running just fine.

    Just wanted to ensure that I get the updates as they arrive.

    NAS542 / V5.21(ABAG.12) / MR: 20181001zypkg015

    I'm mainly running 'Tweaks' to shut down unused/unnecessary services.
