Issues connecting devices to modem

We just got our home internet set up with a Zyxel VMG3625-T50B modem and a few devices have trouble connecting to it (Huawei Honor phone).
The phone tries to connect but either disconnects after being connecting for a few seconds or doesn't connected at all.
We tried changing Wi-Fi name and password, changing between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Adding the device with WPS methods didn't work either.

Hello @SaraT
Thanks for your post.
What messages come up on your Huawei phone when it tries to connect?
- does it say 'authenticating' and then it fails?
- or 'obtaining IP address' and then it fails?
I cannot find the user guide, but I hope that this is helpful.
The above might help work out if it is related to something like WPA2-PSK or to DHCP.
Kind regards,
