According to the Armor G1's Wireless Speed specifications at https://www.zyxel.com/products_services/AC2600-Multi-Gigabit-WiFi-Router-ARMOR-G1/specifications it suggests that in 2.4GHz band that it can do 800MBits/s IF channel bandwidth is set to 40MHz + 1733 MBits/s in 5GHz band IF channel bandwidth is set to 80MHz.

At 1 metre distance, the WiFi receiver might be being overloaded.
At what distance do you get the higher speed of 247.15MBps?
I wonder what the 8K or 4K means? could it mean that that channel bandwidth has changed?
If you set SSID for 5GHz and 2.4GHz band to different values, then can you confirm that you are using 802.11ac in 5GHz band?

Hi Tony, even 300 mbit are in the same room is too slow when advertised with 2600. I have a 500 mbit line and that should also be achieved. According to the Armor G1 user guide at https://www.zyxel.com/support/download_landing/product/armor_g1_22.shtml?c=gb&l=en&pid=20200121174129&tab=User_s_Guide seems like you always have to have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi enabled at the same time.
- you can give them different SSID though, or it can be the same.
To get the 300Mbits speed on WiFi, you need to set the WiFi bandwidth to 40MHz see https://www.bitfeed.co/page/wifi-20-mhz-or-40-mhz-how-to-choose-the-bandwidth and hope that there is enough channels available.
