oh yes, thanks to your comments I see what the problem is:

I have two network interfaces on the NAS (with two network cables), one has the address 192.168.1.101, the other 192.168.1.102.
With the lsof command, we can see that twonky is listening on port 9001 in localhost and also on the 192.168.1.102 interface but not on the 192.168.1.101 interface.

    twonkyser&nbsp; 1913&nbsp;&nbsp; root&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 4u&nbsp; IPv4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5347&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; TCP 127.0.0.1:9001 (LISTEN)<br>twonkyser&nbsp; 1913&nbsp;&nbsp; root&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5u&nbsp; IPv4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5348&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; TCP 192.168.1.102:9001 (LISTEN)<br>twonkyser&nbsp; 1913&nbsp;&nbsp; root&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 6u&nbsp; IPv4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5349&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; UDP 192.168.1.102:1900 <br>twonkyser&nbsp; 1913&nbsp;&nbsp; root&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 7u&nbsp; IPv4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5351&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; UDP 192.168.1.102:49001 <br>twonkyser&nbsp; 1913&nbsp;&nbsp; root&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 9u&nbsp; IPv4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5352&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; UDP 239.255.255.250:1900 <br>twonkyser&nbsp; 1913&nbsp;&nbsp; root&nbsp;&nbsp; 10u&nbsp; IPv4&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 5353&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 0t0&nbsp; UDP 192.168.1.102:1030 <br>

the nmap command show the 9001 port not open on 192.168.1.101 but that's right open on 192.168.1.102

However, in the management panel there is an explicit reference to http://192.168.1.101:9001 :

    <table><tbody><tr><td colspan="3"><div>Activer Twonky Media Server</div></td></tr></tbody></table><div>Pour

    Hi @sitro

    Thanks for the feedback.
The twonkyserver IP on NAS would always select Port 1 IP as the server IP address.
If the LAN Port 2 get the IP address before Lan Port 1 get the IP address, then the pages on the Control Panel > Service > Media Server > Media Server would still keep the Lan port2 IP which get the IP firstly on this page.
We'll have an enhancement on this.

    Best Regards,
    Jerry

  • Hi guys, is it possible to ask a question here, about Twonky server? The problem is still the same: Twonky doesn't work on port 9001.

I did a control in windows → NAS property and the port is the 10243 (see image attached).

Last but not least, my NAS is new (well, I re bought a 542 after electric failure of the old one).

I have the same problem as ceramassimiliano68. Tonky is on port 10243 not 9001. using LAN2 only

Please advise me how to change it back to port 9001

When you remove Lan2 but only leave Lan1, will the port not available to access?
