XMG3927-B50A firmware version
My Zyxel XMG3927-B50A is currently running with its stock firmware V5.13(ABQO.0)D0. I have noticed that a new firmware is now available as V5.17(ABMT.5)C0.
Will this firmware work for my device despite the different strings ((ABQO.0)D0 vs. (ABMT.5)C0) ?
Thanks
-Joel

Hi,
(ABQO.0)D0 and (ABMT.5)C0 are different firmware versions for XMG3927-B50A.
It can't be loaded with different firmware versions.

It looks like your SSH port is closed. Can you check in the web UI under "Maintenance → Remote management"?

well had a look only HTTP and HTTPS open nothing else in. On my own other (same model modem/router) it has loads of stuff in SSH being one of them.
I tried making a non admin account but stil the same……………its locked down to the isp config

If your version is below V5.15(ABMT.5)C0, you should be able to use this:
Obviously, don't do this unless you actually own the device.
Good luck

yes I have the modem still, but it looks a nightmare (after reading all that link) I`ve managed to buy another 2nd hand (same model) this one IS unlocked and even has the Firmware installed that I want (so all ok) I`m trying to get my money back for this locked unit as was it sold as locked and I was not told this.
But thanks for the info maybe one day when bored and is raining outside I might (if still stuck with it ;-) give this ago whats on your link.
Many thanks

I got an other spare/second hand XMG3927-B50A yesterday it had the same firmware as mine but I flashed it again and it worked ok so on v5.17 (ABMT.6)C0 same as mine then update/copied over the same setting seems to work OK. I will test it out live when kids in school Monday but looks ok and a good back up to have incase mine packs in
