I am reading reference to a NSG50 unit, but find it hard to find information about this device.
Can you share some information for this unit?

@FrankIversen
NSG50 aims at the small-sized business and the major features are similar as NSG100 but subject to entry level functions. Let us expect more details on launch dayZyxel Nebula Support

Cool, because I am planning to deply this to a couple of users with appx 5 users. Perhaps I should wait for the NSG501

Also looking forward to this information and more details on the 'Limited Lifetime License' stuff. The license model for NSG is so confusing, but it *seemed* like when I priced out the full cost of an NSG100 install it was pretty close to a USG60 with UTM bundle. We're deploying a ton of Ubiquiti because their Unifi platform makes remote monitoring and management a breeze - but they lack any type of real security gateway... So the NSG platform intrigues us.1

same here. We are (or have been) an open mesh installer. Very nicen products, but they also lack the security gateway. And we have always trusted Zyxel stuff, so if the licensing is acceptable the Nebula platform with management of both AP, switch and security gateway is attractive to migrate to.1

In my understanding, NSG license has App Patrols that can restrict the access from certain software tools or websites, and Security filtering can detect and prevent malicious attack beforehand.0

I too look forward for a smaller(cheaper) model for my customers since it's not cost effecient enough to deploy nsg100 for them.
lets see what they bring up!0 -
Hey @FrankIversen @itxnc @martinihenry ,
As @Nebula_James mentioned, the NSG50 will address the needs for small business. Nonetheless, it comes with great capabilities that makes it a powerful security device. Here is a sneak-peek for you:
Hardware specifications:- 4 LAN ports (4xGbe)
- 2 WAN ports (1xSFP, 1xGbe)
- 1 USB port
- Stateful Packet Inspection firewall throughput: 300 Mbps
- VPN throughput: 70 mbps
- IDP throughput: 120 mbps
- IPsec VPN tunnels: 10
- VLAN interfaces: 8
Same as NSG100 (Firewall, VPN, Application patrol, IDP, bandwidth management, etc)
We will have more details once the release day comes, wait for it (-6 days) !
Regarding Limited Lifetime License (LLL), it basically turns your Organization on Nebula Control Center into a non-expiry licensed cloud controller. It's based on device type and quantity, meaning that if you have 2 NSG, and 2 NAP, you need to register the same quantity and device type of Limited Lifetime Licenses.
It's a great solution to avoid the hassle of license renewal and ideal for long term deployments.
Hope this info is useful for you guys!4 - 4 LAN ports (4xGbe)
