NAS542 keeps beeping after I Installed a new 16TB disk

Don't know what you mean by 'regular tape', but unless it's some special metal tape, it should be capable of isolating a 3.3V level. So if you correctly taped the 3th pin, and it didn't work out, there might have been another issue with that disk.

Yeah that sounds plausible also. I used the regular transparent kind that you find in offices, some people online was saying that it was very important to use kapton tape…
But yes, I think I did manage to tape the first 3 pin connectors properly.
