- AP WAC6103D-I: This AP manages approximately 30 devices.

- Log: "Station: d2:81:74:e6:f7:3c has disassoc by Intra Roaming on Channel: 1, SSID: - ZyxelArenito, 2.4GHz, Signal: -58dBm, Download/Upload: 2678/4184 Bytes. reason 5, Interface:wlan-1-1"

- Reason 5: Disassociated because AP is unable to handle all currently associated STAs

What could be the reason for the disconnection, given that the AP should support much more than 30 devices?

    Hi @FabioBasso,

The "Reason 5" error indicates that the AP disassociated your device because it may be overwhelmed by traffic or too many devices connected simultaneously. This can be caused by high client density, excessive traffic, or suboptimal AP placement.

Here are a few suggestions to help troubleshoot and improve your network performance:

    1. Firmware Update:
      • Please make sure your AP is running the latest firmware version, V6.28(AAXH.3)C0, to achieve the best network performance.
    2. Experiencing issues with Wi-Fi disconnections or intermittent connectivity:
      • Please refer to this FAQ for troubleshooting.
    3. AP Placement: We recommend placing indoor APs every 15 meters as a general guideline, but the actual distance depends on the environment and traffic. You can refer to this post for more information:
    4. Managing Traffic: If you have many devices connected, consider managing the number of concurrent connections or applying speed rate limits to avoid congestion:
    5. Bandwidth Availability: Check that your network infrastructure (router, modem, firewall) has enough bandwidth to handle the traffic load. If your traffic is consistently high, consider upgrading your network equipment or internet plan.
    6. Optimizing Nebula AP: You can follow these guidelines to optimize your AP settings for better WiFi performance:
    7. Load Balancing: If enabled, the AP may be disassociating clients when the maximum client device threshold is reached. Learn how to configure load balancing here:
