Confusion DAC or SFP+?

I Have 2 XGS1935-52HP and i use 2 10GbE Transceiver Modules SFP10G-SR.

If the module is an SFP+ (true?), why do I have to use the DAC option to make it work on Nebula?

PS: to connect switch i use LC LC 50/125 optical Cable OM4

    Hi @Alex_91,

    To further check this behavior, could you please collect Tech-support Info files from the switches while the SFP+ module is connecting with SFP+ option, and then share it with us via private message? This will help us verify the issue on your devices. In addition, both XGS1935-52HP need to collect the files.

    OK, I can confirm that indeed, by leaving the media type setting in the Nebula in SFP+ (after restoring the two switches😥), the link started working again.
    So, if I use a DAC cable, the interface to set is DAC; if I use an SFP+ transceiver (with fibrecable), the system works with that setting.

    Now everything works fine, I wonder what setting it had that wasn't making it work!🙄

    DAC and SFP+ basically do the same thing. DAC is cheaper and comes as a ready-to-go cable, perfect for short runs in the rack. SFP+ gives you more flexibility since you can use different cables, and it’s better for longer distances. Even if the port says “DAC10G,” an SFP+ module usually still works fine—it’s just about picking what fits your setup best.
