IGMP Snooping off becouse block Lightware Vinx multicast traffic
Freshman Member
Hi, I have that problem:
I have one XGS2220-54HP V5.0 connect to one XGS2220-30HP V5.0 with two 10 GBit fiber port LAG.
I have Storm control active
I have Spanning Tree active (16xxx and 32xxx)
I have one single vlan and it is Tugged in LAG port (I dont use Trunk port)
Only in the XGS2220-54HP have another vlan for 6 port with audio DANTE.
I must to power-off IGMP Snooping becouse the multicast traffic hangs only after few minutes. I use only one IGMP Snooping Querier
I'm not understand what's happening.
Where I can to see specific logs?
My configuration is in progress but now is this:
1x XGS2220-54HP V5.0 connect to LAG
1x XGS2220-30HP V5.0 connect to LAG
16 Lightware Vinx encoder (8 for each switch)
16 Lightware Vinx decoder (8 for each switch)
I await your support.
Thanks,
Max

I add that setup to QoS DIFFServ only in the xgs2220-54HP and only in the audio Dante port (total 6 port)

Before we move forward, could you please confirm whether the switch has been configured according to the following FAQ for Dante network setup?

If the configuration already follows this guide and the issue still occurs, please help us by:
- Providing your complete network topology (a diagram is welcome), and kindly indicating the affected switch & ports.
- Collecting and sharing the tech support info file from both switches via private message, so we can review the configuration and logs in detail.

Thanks for providing the tech support file. It’s currently under analysis.
In the meantime, we’d like to confirm a few more details with you.
You previously mentioned that “the multicast traffic hangs only after a few minutes” — could you please observe and let us know approximately how long it takes for the traffic to stop each time?
In addition, when you say “the multicast traffic hangs,” do you mean that the video freezes on the screen, or that the display turns completely black with no image at all?
This information will help us better identify the root cause and proceed with deeper analysis.
Thank you for your cooperation!

I've solved.
I've restore V4.8 firmware both switch and restore default config.
After I config step by step first and after second switch e when I connect both with LAG all work proprely.
I think that my problem was to insert new V5.0 firmware after switch config and that make problem.
Thanks bye,

Thank you for the update, and we're glad to hear that your issue has been resolved!
Your case caught our attention because, according to our records, there were no IGMP-related changes between firmware versions 4.8 and 5.0.
Would you be willing to share your current configs for both switches? We'd like to review and compare it to better understand what might be causing the difference. This would be valuable for our reference and might help us assist other users with similar scenarios.

Thank you for sharing your configuration files with us.
After reviewing and comparing them, we noticed some differences in the settings. Currently, you have designated only one device as the querier, and you have removed flow control Rx and STP. Overall, your IGMP configuration now appears to be properly set. This should help stabilize the network behavior related to multicast traffic. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out.
