Device stuck in Cloud-Saving Mode – no access to local configuration (XMG1915-18EP)

Dear Zyxel Support Team,

I need assistance with my Zyxel XMG1915-18EP switch.

The device is currently stuck in the Cloud-Saving Mode of my Nebula organization.
Because of this, the following issues occur:

  • No “Remove from organization” option in Nebula
  • Setup wizard keeps appearing
  • Local web interface is limited
  • “NCC Discovery” cannot be disabled
  • Full standalone configuration is not possible
  • The switch cannot be unregistered from Nebula

I would like to put the switch fully into Standalone Mode and regain full local management access.
Please remove the device from my organization or disable the Cloud-Saving Mode for my organization so that I can:

  1. Remove the device from Nebula
  2. Disable NCC Discovery locally
  3. Access the full standalone configuration

    Hi @Tommy49,

    The limitations you're experiencing (disabled NCC Discovery, limited local web interface, and restricted configuration) are normal behaviors when the switch is in Cloud mode.

    To return the device to Standalone Mode, you can remove it from your organization by navigating to Organization-wide > License & Inventory in Nebula.

    Important: Please note that only accounts with Owner or Full Administrator privileges can remove devices from the organization or disable Cloud-Saving mode. You can verify your account role at Organization-wide > Administrators.

    Once the device is successfully removed from your organization, it will automatically revert to Standalone mode, and you will have full local management access with all configuration options available.

    If you encounter any other issues or are still unable to find the remove option, please provide some screenshots and enable Zyxel Support access, sharing your organization and site name with us, so we can investigate further.
